Brief description of the 39PHE/2024 project
This project aims to increase the institutional capacity to generate and submit projects in the field of increasing climate resilience (by addressing synergies between engineering measures and nature-based solutions) and to train personnel by financing international mobilities to universities located in the top 100 in international rankings. A series of international mobilities will be financed (trainings, participation in conferences and workshops) but also a series of events organized at national level (by organizing the scientific cooperation week) with the participation of foreign experts.
The project's objective is to increase the institutional capacity to participate in international programs that address synergies between engineering and nature-based measures as solutions to achieving climate resilience.
Project Expected Results:
- Conduct a study on how engineering and nature-based measures are integrated into climate resilience plans
- Organize a scientific cooperation week
- Organize 4 mobilities to prestigious European universities (ranked in the top 100 according to the QS ranking)
- Purchase specialized hydro-climatic analysis programs and two ultra-high-performance laptops capable of handling very large volumes of data
- Publication of 2 articles in Q1 indexed journals, open-access regime in 2025 and 2026
- Participation in at least 3 international conferences (2024, 2025 and 2026)
