Politehnica University of Timisoara Launches the Support Center for Climate Action – Join the Movement for a Sustainable Future!

Politehnica University of Timisoara (UPT) has taken a bold step towards tackling climate challenges by launching the Support Center for Climate Action (SCCA) - a dedicated hub for research, innovation, and collaboration in climate resilience and sustainability. This initiative aims to bring together scientists, policymakers, local authorities, and engaged citizens to co-develop solutions that mitigate climate risks and enhance sustainability in urban and rural areas.

The SCCA will focus on cutting-edge research in climate mitigation and adaptation strategies, providing technical expertise, policy recommendations, and digital tools such as AI-driven decision-support systems and nature-based solutions (NBS) for sustainable urban planning. The center will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building, supporting local and regional efforts to transition towards climate neutrality.

To drive its mission forward, the SCCA is actively seeking individuals who are passionate about climate action and interested in contributing to its activities. Whether you are a researcher, engineer, urban planner, policymaker, student, or community activist, your expertise and commitment can make a difference.
